Hello All, Crash worthiness is defined as a ability of structure to withstand a crash energy and safeguard the occupant.For this i simulated one small crush-Box.For accurate material modelling material testing and validation is very important step in CAE. After accurate material selection and validation in CAE we can simulate our whole product.The energy absorb by this box is shown n figure. Crush box simulation is Quasi-static type of analysis. For physical testing of material UTM is used.For material testing quasi static conditions are used. For crash worthiness material which depends on strain rate different type of strain rate must considered. Every material is strain rate dependent.
